Tunnel Vision (Before and After Split) is a silent two-channel synchronized 10-minute video for projection. Taking its name from the ocular phenomena where peripheral vision is lost or compromised, while simultaneously stressing binocular tendencies of human sight in relationship to depth perception, the work was produced by recording every tunnel on a road trip driving up the coast of Croatia and stopping at the city Split in between. The two sides project the images of different but similar tunnels which at times seem to cross into each other.
