Listening In... a portrait of Charles Graser
21-minute HD experimental documentary
Occasionally referred as the “bionic man” by news sources in the 1970s, Charles Graser was the first patient to be fitted with a wearable cochlear device and subject to over a dozen implant surgeries. He wrote observations recording his perceived experiences through several generations of hearing devices. "Listening In… portrait of Charles Graser" is an experimental documentary that weaves together an interview with Graser, news clippings and notes from his personal archive, and simulated 3D models to create a meditation upon “the body electric.”
